Religions are guilty of many crimes, one of them is homophobia indoctrination.
They tell our children that it is just to discriminate homosexuals because old texts allegedly "holy", written thousands of years ago call homosexuality a "sin"( that they call even eating shrimps a sin doesn't seem important). Alleged "christians" who DO NOT DESERVE TO BE CALLED FOLLOVERS OF JESUS CHRIST spew out hate, and lies about homoseuals, blaspheming Jesus' message of Love. Because Jesus told us to love our neighbor, and that no-one should be hated, shunned, discriminated. Homosexuality is simply a variant of human diversity, and is no more pathological than mancinism. And yet the heinous homophobic lies enter the houses of parents that convince innocent kids that they are sinful just for what they are;religion fostered homohobic lies are at the root of bullyism and criminal homicidal violence against homosexuals, just like religion fostered racist liest were at the base of KKK racism and killings of black people and of the Hebrew holocaust.
Homophobia equals racism. when idiotic bigots teabaggers will understand that?

There is a pastor in Conyers, GA who recently came out. As opposed to the scandals usually associated when this occurs, this is actually an inspiring and courageous story. His name is Jim Swilley and he's the pastor of Church in the Now.
